Ephesians and Colossians were written by the Apostle Paul in hopes of providing further instruction to two churches looking to mature in their faith. Ironically, Paul, while shackled in prison chains, commissions both churches to walk worthily. The term is so crucial, that throughout these two correspondences, Paul uses it a total of eleven times. This emphasis inspired our theme.
Therefore, our thesis for this lectureship is best stated by the imprisoned Paul, “We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
