Dr. Goodson earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education, from Arkansas State University in 2007 and then became an educator in Senath Missouri. Two years later, she transitioned to her alma mater, Buffalo Island Central she remained there for the next 12 years. There, she helped children progress in all areas of development-academic, social, language, and motor. She also became well versed in creating academically engaging learning experiences.

In 2011, she earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Since she was from a small district, she was involved in many administrative roles, including educator effectiveness, where she helped to enable the process and growth mindset of educators, especially in mathematics. In 2015, she became an Academic Coach with Instructional Connections, where she taught college-level coursework in Special Education, School Law, Philosophies in Education, and more. She then pursued a Doctorate of Education degree at Arkansas State University in Educational Leadership and Administration completing it in 2020. 

Dr. Goodson is excited to help develop more effective teacher leaders through the new education department’s vision.
