Shannon Beasley
Associate Professor of History

Mr. Beasley is a veteran educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience across higher education. Before joining the History Department at Crowley’s Ridge College, he served as a full-time faculty member in the English & Philosophy Department at Arkansas State University and as an adjunct instructor in the English Department at the University of Memphis, where he pursued doctoral study in History. During his time at those institutions, he taught courses in composition, literature, and Honors Composition.
 
At Crowley’s Ridge College, Mr. Beasley teaches undergraduate history and general education courses and has served on various college committees as appointed. He serves as a reviewer for Anglican Compass, and his scholarship and writing have appeared in several academic and popular publications, including The Christian Chronicle, Covenant, and Arkansas Review. Outside the classroom, he enjoys running, reading, and spending time with his family.
