Bio

My name is Todd McMillen, and I am currently serving as a Resident Minister at the Valley View Church of Christ in Jonesboro, AR. I graduated in the Spring of 2023 from Crowley’s Ridge College with a B.A. in Biblical Studies and multiple emphases. During my time at CRC, I was able to complete several ministerial internships and fulfill multiple leadership roles on campus. My favorite verse of Scripture is 1 Peter 1:1-9. Outside of ministry, I enjoy exercising, reading, hunting, fishing, and keeping up with Cardinal baseball. I also have two younger sisters who are both in college pursuing their degrees.

Abstract

Have you ever wondered what to “do” after your baptism? Scripture provides a word to
describe our spiritual growth as a follower of Jesus. It’s called “sanctification”, which is the
process by which God transforms us (by His Holy Spirit) from one degree of glory to another (often slower than we would like) into the image of Jesus (often with much struggle), from the time of our baptism until we meet Him again at His second coming. We will never attain this full transformation while on this side of heaven. But as we transition through this fallen world, we are also invited to participate with God in His meticulous process of sanctification with our lives until His Son returns in glory.
