Kenneth (K.J.) Moore was born and raised in Nashville, TN. He is a graduate of Freed Hardeman University, having studied Bible and English. He is now pursuing his M.Div. He is married to Mary Beth, and he works with the Katy Church of Christ in Katy, Texas as an Associate Minister.
Among the unique features of John’s writings is the image of rebirth. Though implied throughout Scripture, it is seen especially in John 3 and the latter part of 1 John. This study highlights the figurative description and spiritual reality of rebirth. Conversion to Christianity is not merely an intellectual event, but a spiritual one. We become part of the family of God, being born of Him. This reality should inform every aspect of our living, including our morality. Rightful understanding of this Johannine teaching informs our view of God, His people, and His standard.
