Bio

My name is Erica Richardson, the Dean of Students at Crowley’s Ridge College. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband, Chris, as the best teammate in this life. We have the sweetest Golden Retriever, Griffey. We love spending time with our family, and friends, traveling to new places, attending any and all sporting events, and worshipping and discipling with our church family at Center Hill Church of Christ.

I am a proud alumnus of CRC and Abilene Christian University. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Sports Management at CRC and then earned my Master of Arts in Conflict Management and Resolution at ACU. While at ACU, I also became Certified in Mediation and Advanced Family Mediation Training.

Abstract

Have you ever found yourself confused? In those moments of confusion, have you
wondered why you are confused? Is it a lack of knowledge or understanding on your part? Have you been told conflicting information that makes it difficult to pinpoint what is correct? Perhaps you have even spent the better part of your life being certain about something, but a pivotal point causes you to question everything you thought you knew. We live in a world that claims we can all have our “own truth”. However, John writes “the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever.” It does not take long to see the culture and the church are confused about much. Topics like sexual attraction, feminism, and even fundamental questions such as “What is a woman”, or “What is truth” are questions that wreck families, consume churches, and leave individuals confused and longing for answers. The inspired Biblical writers and Jesus Christ himself show us the truth and shed light on our confusion if we only have ears to hear and eyes to see.
