Assistant Professor Gibson has lived in Paragould, AR her entire life. She grew up on a catfish farm and always knew she wanted to be a teacher. She retired in 2021 from public school after teaching for 27 years with experience in Preschool-5th grade. She has been married to Farrell Gibson for 35 years. She holds a B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and an M.S. in Educational Theory and Practice.

She has 4 daughters: Katelyn McMillon, Lauren Rowe, Lunden Gibson, and Emma Gibson, and two great sons-in-law: Jacob McMillon and Matt Rowe. She also has 4 grandchildren: Ezra and Slate McMillon, and Noah and Blakely Rowe.

Assistant Professor Gibson and her husband are also the owners of The Legendary 7th Street Market and Geo’s Espresso.
